FUNCTION OF NOSE RADIUS

 The Purpose of Nose Radius on The Single Point Cutting Tool:

                In a single-point cutting tool, a sharp corner is formed due to contact between the end cutting edge and side cutting edge, it is unwanted because the sharp corner is very weak and can be broken down at any time by shock when cutting tool contact with the workpiece. hence to avoid this corner is rounded which is known as nose radius.it provides a good surface finish on the workpiece also increases the tool life.it ranges from 0.4 to 1.5 from light cut to heavy-duty cut.
